Custom exhaust
Had a custom exhaust fitted yesterday. First attempt was pretty much straight through which sounded a tad rough, very loud and very boomy in the cabin.
Took it back and added a centre box which is better but I'm still not sure it's right for me*. Maybe a little too loud and an annoying harmonic/resonance between 2-3,000 RPM. I'll give it a few hundred miles to bed in before I make a final decision. ![]() In progress. ![]() ![]() ![]() On a tunnel run this afternoon so will have an opportunity to test it out in some exalted company: click. --------- * Note - the specialist is not at fault. Couldn't live with the drone. I've wussed out and gone back to stock.
It sounds great on idle and full chat but a horrific drone/resonance between 2,000-3,000 RPM.
