Carbon fiber trims/skinning - gauging interest

Hi all,

I am planing to do this to my 86 when it comes and I would like to know if anyone would be interested in having some parts skinned/wrapped in CF.

It will look pretty much like this.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16859

I have done this kind of thing (CF skinning that is) before, but I would preffer to have it done in one big batch rather than bits and pieces here and there. However, any suggestions will be welcomed.
I have started to look into a better paterned CF (with a slightly bigger checkered patern, with a sligh tinge of blue). I am sure that i will get a better deal than $3k (which is just stupid) plastic parts i have seen somewhere here.
Considering the car is new on the market, I cant get parts to have them done first and then get the original off you. So, at the moment will be a matter of sending the parts, all in one batch (one set day) get them all in 2-3 days, have them done in about 3 or 4 days and have them sent in one batch.

What you guys think? all pics courtesy of "doggy" member.

Personally I am a huge CF hater, but I'm interested in wrapping options for other styles. I hate the stock plastic look.

To pay someone else to do it they'd have to do a pretty professional job though, stripping the stock pieces etc.

Pretty much like what I did with the dash plastic parts but not that shiny..
Redone my mirrors to a gloss black film where colour was, covers popped off and made it easier

Yep, I'd prefer that to wrapping.

If we can get them done in Brisbane even better.

Would also like the cluster surround done to carry the theme right across the dash.

Pricing would be the issue as well as finish. (ie not Grazio pricing).

I am in Brisbane mate, so ...all good! Cluster surround sounds good too. Easy enoug to do!

So you would prefer the CF to vynil, right?

Yep would much prefer it - not that there's anything wrong with vinyl.

I will need to price each independent part first (the cost of materials and the time it takes me to make them, really). I would prefer to create an organised system where I get say 10 orders of one single part, do them all, send them all, and get another part done.

This way, I can do them all in one go from a to z, send them all in one go and people will be able to have the payment stretched over few weeks as well as they will have only one part missing out of their car instead of whole of it.

In terms of price, I dont think is going to be that much really! it is me that is going to charge an arm and a leg for them )))) jk.

I will do my car first to see how it goes and then let the production begin.:0)
