Gauging Interest in underhood dress up.

Hey Everyone,

I had the chance to meet up with a local FT86 member today and got a good feel for the BRZ/FRS platform. I think it goes without saying that these wonderful little cars are going to be a huge hit and i want to gauge interest in a few parts that i have in the works so far.

Underhood fuse box cover - either polished stainless or brushed aluminum finish to tightly cover the factory plastic cover.

Billet Radiator fill - billet aluminum replacement for radiator fill neck, instead of the fragile factory plastic one.

Billet Factory battery hold down and billet small battery conversion kits

I would like to see what people think about these options so far and if anyone has any ideas or comments either post up or PM me.

Thanks!

Indeed. I personally buy a lot of anodized bits for my under-hood.

Your NOT wrong! There are alot of colors out there these days, and anodizing is certainly in. Like i said I'm open to suggestions and maybe color choices, please keep the feedback coming. I'm open to everything and i want to hear what people have to say!

Thanks for the input, keep it coming

Id be up for anything that serves some sort of purpose to, such as the billet fill neck or the small battery kit

This is definitely something I would be interested in. I noticed it was plastic when inspecting everything under the hood. Never have had good luck with plastic + heat + vibration.

My thoughts exactly. My original intent was for function, but delivering that function with a little form never hurts!

I was actually in conversation with my machinist earlier today, i will be meeting with him tomorrow on some of these items.Hood damper is a great idea, and should be pretty straight forward with such a light hood. Thanks again for the input, and stay tuned!

Just to give you guys the heads up, a hood damper from redline tuning is already being developed, so I don't know if you want to go after that market.

Either way, the more choices the better!

*** I would also be interested in something to replace the radiator fill...

Thanks for the heads up Jason, I don't mind producing my own kit, I'm looking to produce a less invasive and removable kit, something bolt in. I'd be interested to see their results!

Also I am liking the feedback so far on the radiator fill. It will definitely be part of tomorrows get together!
