Best place for body work in/near Milwaukee?
A friend of mine decided to do a dukes of hazzard type jump on my trunk. He ended up denting the trunk line down and pulling up a dimple & cracking the paint next to it. I'm pretty pissed off about it.
It's minor damage, but I want this thing fixed and looking like it was never dented. I went to one body shop that quoted me $553 (which seems reasonable) and Don Jacobs Toyota which quoted me $1200 (which was probably way over-inflated, damn dealerships). Has anyone had body work done at a shop that did a really good job but also didn't pay a fortune for it? Thanks, B |

Ok so there are two places I like. One in Racine ---Racine Auto Body and the other is in Milwaukee--Crystal Auto Body. Racine Auto Body is pricey but does the best work. Ask for Jerry Richio. I just used Crystal Auto Body recently for some custom painting of emblems for me and they were very nice and did exactly what i wanted. Crystal Auto Body is more of a family owned place I feel like.

My sister used to date the owner of Crystal Auto Body. Great shop, and a great family.
Edit: I'll note that I had a friend with a WRB STI that needed a bumper replaced and the body shop at Sommers Subaru did a spectacular job.
