Got my Alignment done at Revworks
One of the most pain in the ass things of having a lowered car is finding somewhere to get an alignment. Normal tire places will basically tell you no way you are getting on their machine.
Luckily for me Revworks is around the corner from my house and they do performance alignments on cars all the time. Here is my before and after setup. They did a mild performance setup that would allow for good daily driving. Look how screwed up my alignment was after the Tein install. If you wondered if it is important to do an alignment after a suspension install this should answer it for you. I would have had no tires if I kept driving like this.

Was looking at all the left-over toe on the rear but now I see that you didn't do control arms yet.
I went with the TEINs, too, and ordered the AP control arms so definitely hoping to scrub that toe out. Otherwise, gonna be scrubbing rubber instead!

I don't know what you guys are talking about, that's a perfectly fine amount of rear toe in.

My toe was out of whack like that, made it very twitchy and unnerving to drive. I'd go back and zero that out.
How did you get -2 camber in the front? Do you plan to get control arms or the whiteline camber bushings? |

The car is nothing like an S2000 in terms of suspension setup or geometry.
What we have found for track use is to get about neg 3* camber in the front and neg 2* in the rear with 0 toe front and .15 to .2 total degrees in rear. Any less than that and the car gets loose at high speed. |

I am checking with them to see what they say. I am no suspension guru and went with the vendors recommendation.

We understand that this car is not an S2000, we were simply using it as a base point to set OE alignment specs. This particular customer said he wanted a mild performance alignment mostly used for daily driving. We do agree though that for track use the numbers listed by the other vendors, would be good specs as well.
Thank you for the write up Buddy, and to the other vendors for your input! |
