Climate control Panel for the FRS.

I called my local Subaru dealership and got a price on the climate control Panel. The mechanic told me that he would a call to the higher ups and see what needs to be done or if it can be done to hook the dual climate control panel up in the car.

The price for the Panel itself is 462 plus tax. He told me once he gets the info he would give me a call back with the price for the install if the conversion is possible.

Keep fingers crossed but he seemed pretty confident it could be done.

So he basically told me 462 plus labor and tax.

Funny thing is I called my toyota dealership and they didnt have a part number for nor would they get involved in installing the panel even if wI had all the parts needed lol.

I ll update this thread if I hear something back

I wouldn't be surprised that a Scion dealership wouldn't have parts information on a Subaru. As for doing the work, most dealerships consider themselves repair facilities and not custom auto shops which is what you're needing.

I didnt ask scion about subaru I asked toyota about the 86 climate control panel. They told me they wouldnt order it for me. I would have to order it from elsewhere. Thats why I called subaru to see if they would install theres since the Premium BRZ has same ac set up as the FRS

Climate Control Unit
Temp Sensors
Different piping assembly
Front Button/Dash Assembly
Appropriate Wiring harnesses

It's been discussed several times and the cost is not worth the gain. Only way I can see someone doing this swap is if a couple months/years down the road someone yanks all this out of a brz to make it a hard core track car and you buy it from them.

When i looked into this, the part that was stopping me was getting the appropriate harness connectors. As far as i know, subaru doesnt sell just the ends such that one could build a harness on their own. You have to buy the complete harness for the whole car... Which is ~800 ish for a tangle of wires.
