microfiber cloths prices range from wicked cheap to wicked expensive. any recommendations on which to get and where? thanks

If you have a Harbor Freight I suggest going there! They have some Large Microfiber rags on sale 2-2.99. Their bigger and softer then normal.. Great for waxing. They also have normal microfiber rags in a 6 set.. Not to mention lots of other little tid bits.. I gotta electric tire pump for 25 bucks while i was there..

haha i had to google harbor freight. yeah definitely dont have those around my area of MA at least.

not all are created equal. the cheapo ones are total crap and I wouldn't use them for anything other than perhaps touching up with detailer on a small surface area.

I use the Autoglym detailing cloth on my car and it works noticeably better. Better absorbency and never any residue / streaks from product left behind.

Definitely agree that they are all not the same. The Costco ones do come recommended by many on autopia.org which is a car detailing forum.

Best one I've found so far, I use the cheap walmart ones to wash, semi-disposable. These for drying and other detail stuff.

I've bought about a dozen different ones at this point, these are the most absorbent while still being really soft.

So far no waffle-weave towels I've tried have been worth anything.

if you have a "Griots garage" near you i would go that route or order some from the "Zaino store." Which ever one you get make sure you cut the tags.

I know, I just consider them to be rags. I'm a snob when it comes to MF towels and detailing supplies in general.
