Synack Turbo Drift/Drag/Road Thread

Setting this thread up for the near future of when I take the car to any number of road courses, drift spots, and dragways (1/4 only).

What I'm hoping to expect out of all 3:

Drag: ~12.3 1/4 mile - tires are BFG KDW2's at 255/35/19, currently stock suspension

Drift: Not expecting monster Formula Drift action here, car has bone stock suspension (for now); but it does have amazing drift tires and plenty of power. I do have experience in drifting a Nismo 370Z so a 600lbs weight loss is very welcoming.

Road course/track: Possibly similar to BMW M3 lap times. I know the power/weight ratio is a bit better in my favor but I think the M3 has a bit better cornering capabilities even with my upgraded tires. My Lindsay Lohan weight could make this near equal. Please do correct me if this seems outrageous.

We can definitely expect that I'll go through quite a bit of tires in the upcoming months/years.

PS: I left AutoX out of this because I don't find any enjoyment in it.

Assuming you can stick to the track as well as an M3 I would guess times would be similar. The M3s here in Houston are terrible. Even an amature like me was putting up times several seconds faster than the regulars at MSR.

Wow... I was hoping at least one of them would compete. MSR is definitely one of the first I'll be going to.

I hope they let me not only run the course for lap times but do a bit of drifting as well. I love the hybrid combination of going fast on the track and then hitting the drifts on turns.

They generally don't like you to drift but they wont kick you off the course either. In my M3 I could keep up with the supercharged M3s here. Most of the drivers are just plain terrible. Lots of middle eastern guys... The course instructors in their M3 pulled away, but aside from that you will be posting videos passing Porsches and M3s. If you look on bimmerfest or houston-imports they regularly post M3 track days at MSR.

An FRS/BRZ can embarrass a lot fast cars with a good driver. My lap times last weekend was just 2 seconds behind my own E92 M3 on a fast 2.9 mile course. I passed a Porsche Turbo S and a GT3.
