17x7 +48 OR +40 5X100 Questions I have
im looking at just replacing my stock rims/tires for same size wheel... and tire -- but i noticed some vendors show the 17x7 with +48 or +40 ...
i thin the stock rims are +40. what would +48 do ? anyone put these on the FRS-- ? does it make it wider -- im a little new on the whole 'offset' thing.. trying to figure out difference between the 40 and 48 ... any help would be appreciated |

Stock wheels have a +48mm offset. A +40mm offset will push the wheels OUT 8mm and will look much better than stock.
Now you need to IMMEDIATELY read Wheel 101 before you ask any more Qs. ![]() http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3062
