I want to see if anyone can help me to re-program the ECU remotely to make it back to Stock ? Trying to pass smog in California and it showing software is modified. Car is 2016 Scion FR-S

Which tune system is car programmed with

If it's ecutek even writing back a stock tune won't pass in California due the embedded ecutek licience you need to delete the locience as well so the checksum is correct for smog

FWIW: Swapping out the ecu is not that complicated. Used ones are around $100. If you do go that route, make sure the vendor/junkyard has the underdash ecu and doesn't try to send you the DI driver.
