Remote won't unlock doors. Need help diagnosing problem.
Here are some details about the issue that the car is having:
- key can unlock the trunk wirelessly -the lights do blink when pressing the unlock and lock buttons -the drivers side unlocking mechanism stopped working first and a month later the passenger side followed suit. -I can only lock/unlock the doors manually Here is the solution that I came up with so far: -Replace the door lock actuator on both doors Does anyone have any other suggestions that I can try before spending the money on the replacement parts? Thanks in advance! |

Did you leave the spare key in the car somewhere?

Tried both remotes. I also disconnected and reconnected the battery terminal to reset the ECU. The symptoms are the same. Thanks for the suggestions. |

As suggested above, I'd replace the remotes batteries, before I started tearing the car apart...... ![]() humfrz |

Batteries are working ok since they can unlock the trunk wirelessly without any issues. I also recently replaced the battery on one of the remotes. Thanks for the suggestion. |

I know we are throwing out obvious things here but have you checked the fuses? I can not believe for one second that both actuators went for a shit.

I noticed it blinks at you whenever you release the parking break too. Basically whenever you start to drive. It'll blink orange for a few seconds (10-15?) and beep at you like 3 times.
