Unhappy Shifter Spins at High RPM

I have an Edelbrock E85 BRZ and recently on the highway, the Shaft Select Lever Pin sheared off and misaligned my shifter H pattern. Here are photos:

https://imgur.com/a/aVicQQL

I drove the car again today and at high rpm's and the entire shifter rotated on me. Freaked me out... It feels closer to normal now but still in an odd spot where you can accidently shift into reverse

Did something internal break? I am concerned because I thought the transmission could handle the SC/E85 combo. I wanted to go to an 8/6 meet & drive tomorrow but now I'm feeling sketched out that I broke something major. Please help!!

This is so funny I can't stop laughing. I'm picturing your shift knob spinning around at 10,000 rpm.
Hard to shift gears.

But seriously,
Are you saying the right side pin 35067*A fell out? I don't see how that could cause the shifter to spin. I would get a new pin and see what happens. It's probably a bad idea to drive around like that.

This is how I read it too (And why I even opened this thread)

OP, have you ever dissembled the shifter from within the cabin for any reason? There are bolts that I'm fairly certain are holding the rod connected to your shift knob that you move around to select gears. It would be worth yanking up the shift boot and sound insulation see make sure those are all tight.

Shifter Spins at High RPM

That pin is part of the shift carrier, it should be fixed. The carrier has 3 points of contact, one on each side where you pictured, and one spot in the rear that goes into a bushing. None of those will cause your issue. If your carrier pin is indeed broken, PM me. I have two carriers. You can have one if you send me your address.

Lookup videos on YouTube on how to install aftermarket shift knob. I bet there is something there that will show you what is going on. I haven’t taken the OE shift knob off before so I can’t speak on what would cause it to spin. I assume there is a lock to fix it in place in the correct orientation.
