Eh, about what I expect to see. Doesn't help the twins, first or second gen, don't launch well or consistently due to the shit anti squat curve that comes with borrowing suspension parts from an awd car.

They should've traded cars. Skinny guy in the 86 would take it every time.

Weird. I did have my doubts about how inconsistent that NZ video's results are..

At best both are high 13 second cars, not surprising it’s a drivers race. Theoretically the GR86 is faster (slightly quicker time and trap), but it’s very close.

Is the rear suspension geometry carry over from the WRX?

I don't think it is exact, but it is close. Same upper and lower control arm. I think our trailing arm is shorter, not 100% sure though, knuckle is different too.

Tks, I see that MCA from Aus (a while ago) and now Jackson Racing released suspension pickup changes to improve anti-squat. Probably I will necro the conversation and see what would be advantages vs disadvantages.

Have you ever tested any of those?

I haven't, not allowed to alter suspension pickup points for my class(s) my car is setup for. Largely positive reviews in the threads I have read on it.

Really the 86 should take the S2000, especially the earlier 2 liter. The new 86 has 30 ft/lbs more torque, very close to the same weight, and better trans gearing. I know the S2k can rev to 8,500 which gives a few more mph between gears over the 86, but whatever. The driver must be that much heavier than the other, possibly even had a sack of cat litter and groceries in the trunk, who knows. But the twins seem to lose to EVERYTHING in the 1/4. It took me a lot of $$$ in parts and Ecu tuning plus the time just to get mine to where its "acceptable enough" to me. I'm sure any of you who have done what i have or even more feel the same, but i still love the car nonetheless. I know its not a drag car, but i always felt like a 3.0 liter V6 should have been the engine for this car.
