Whats going to happen to the triplets?
Do you guys think that Toyota and Subaru are going to do the same upgrades to their STI/TRD version. Or are they going to go on their own path and do different things in the coming years?

I think engine-wise they will probably stay the same due to cost savings in development. Remember a while back Subaru touted that they would have 250hp on their version opposed to Toyotas 200hp. That probably didn't happen due to dev costs.
As far as different paths they are already doing that already TRD and STI are both off doing their own things. |

SPT/STi are definitely going to be doing separate things from TRD. Nobody knows for sure what they'll come out with, but there are plenty of rumors. I know a while back, a TRD parts list showed up that included a few performance parts and their ETAs but I would have to look for that...
![]() Expect some cool (and certainly pricey) stuff.

I will be interested to see this too. It looks like they are going their own way on springs, bars etc. If there ever is a factory supercharger option I wonder if they will work together on it and just logo them differently.
