duck tail trunk? - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Ive seen some car mods where they have the duck tail trunk on the car. It wasnt a spoiler.. but actually the trunk. Anybody know what im talking about and if the frs would get it?

Something like this..but nicer looking.

It would involve a decent amount of work to mould it into the boot lid, but would look pretty sweet if done correctly. It could easily suit the 86

Sure, but the OP was referring to an actual trunk and not an add on.

Exactly what I want! A BMW M3 CSL styled trunk.

Alternatively a black series AMG style (addon) duck bill but I see there is the GT3 tamon one already avail.

I mean dont get me wrong,the spoilers look really good, but i believe personally this would look better! Anybody know any vendors in the works for this?

I agree, I'd be very tempted to get a fully molded replacement trunk lid with an integrated tail if it became available.

I'm thinking Do Luck might release something like this. They have done so it the past for other cars. I've seen their truck for the evo x and it looks really good in person

I beleive wald is making one, they have a rendering on here with a duckbill style trunk
And a body kit

2. Buy Lip Spoiler
3. Mold it to trunk
4. Profit

I contacted Seibon about three weeks ago to suggest this as a future product. This is what I got back.

"Thank you for writing us. A trunk with a spoiler built in is already in the works J we should have that done in a few more weeks. we will update you once we have that ready to go."

That was August 2nd. I have no problem waiting for a good product. Really want to see what they're up to though. I botched the install of my 5-Axis spoiler. I'm out by just a few millimters, but that has caused the ends to lift. Sure I can fix it, but having a seamless ducktail is REALLY what I wanted in the first place.
