Battery installation, configure the new AH value to car computer?
hi there
Try to search this on the forum but cannot find any useful info. If this is discussed before and I miss it, appreciate it if any url can be shared again. I saw some tutorial in the other car brand, such as BMW. In simple words, if you upgrade the battery from the OEM 48 AH, to bigger AH like 64 or 70. After the hardware installation is done, the car need be configured with laptop or other device, to enter the new AH value to the car computer. So, the car can manage the battery charge in future properly. Wonder does it need to do done for our twins as well? Again, any feedback is appreciated.

No need for that on twins, but the one procedure that is applicable to all cars with a battery sensor is when using a charger, to hook up the ground clamp to the body or engine, not the battery terminal. |
