Install of TRD Quad Tip Exhaust Finish

Hey Fam,

Has anyone installed or has seen an install video the TRD Quad Tip Exhaust finisher? I have the remark quad exhaust and feel this would complete the look in the back of the car.

I have them on my BRZ and they really aren't that hard. It should come with the instructions and the overlay to measure where they go. At least mine did.

Do you have to cut or drill anything?

Yep. It’s the only way to make room if you’re gonna do any of the quad tips with the exception of one.

If you're anxious about doing something imperfectly, all your cuts will be hidden. Don't worry, you only learn by doing. Once you get started it's not so bad.

Thank you guys, i appreciate the feedback. One more question, do you take down the exhaust? Or you have enough room to work with?

That exhaust is made to fit the stock diffuser isn’t it, if you use that with the TRD garnish it’s going to look silly. Pretty sure the TRD garnish can fit a twin 4” exhaust whereas the remark quad tip is probably about 4.5” in total width so you’ll have like 2” of empty space on either side.

If you haven’t bought it yet, don’t and see if you like it how it is, if you want the TRD garnish or already bought it, will look a lot better if you buy new tips and have them welded onto your remark exhaust

It's going to look silly with the stock holes too.

I have it on mine as well and it was pretty straight forward.
I recommend applying painters tape around the cutting areas and take your time.
I took my exhaust off to have more room to work with.

Found a video of a guy who had previously installed a custom quad tip to fit the stock single exit exhaust (like the remark tip). This is how it looks with the garnish on it.

It also answered a question I had myself, of where the single exit tip would come out if you put the garnish on. This means if you’ve got a removable tip, you should be able to buy one of those tips that have an inlet that goes through the centre of one of the tips with the second tip connected to it, rather than a traditional Y shaped dual exhaust tip where the inlet is in the centre of the 2 outlets.

So if you had a dual exit, you’d want a tip like this to fit the garnish from what I can see
