Fitment help needed

Ok so I’m planning to buy 18x9.5 35 offset wheels for my 86 the standard/most common fitment for this platform. I was wondering if I needed LCA or anything to run this fitment. Because I want to just slap these boys on and camber them for the flush fitment. If I need to get my fenders rolled then that’s fine but I want to know if I needed anything else for suspension to run this fitment. Does coilovers and camber do the job. Or do I need more?

IM NOT TROLLIN LOL IM NEW TO wheels and stuff so I really don't know. This is my first car as well. From most examples i see they dont need it and if you have coilovers you have enough clearance without having to worry about rubbin unless you go lower then 1 inch. But i wanted confirmation cause I don't want to fuck up. I'm not ashamed for not knowing this info because I'd rather be clowned then fucking it up lol.

That is not the most common aftermarket wheel size, the most common is 17X9 by far. The reason for coils is with wide tire/wheel combinations you may end up with rubbing in the front as the spring and perch on the stock strut is pretty wide and coilovers have a much narrower spring and perch. It may fit depending on tire size. 17X9 is already tight with a 245 tire. There are sticky threads in the wheel/tire section that have pictures and specs of what people have done.

Do you think you can send a link for that thread you mentioned?

There are two with lots of pictures, detail. Your answer may take some digging though I am sure there are others with this setup that can chime in.

Well now, Theodorable, I commend you on being a good sport -

It is good to ask questions, since you are new to cars and this platform. -

My recommendation is to leave the wheels and suspension alone, ain't nutten wrong with the way it came out of the box. just maybe change the tires, depending on what you want the car to do better -

I have 18x9.5 +38 RPF1’s with 255/35/18 federal tires all around and it’s I’m sure if I get sweaty and rolled fenders and some spacers I could get cleaner fitment but it’s perfect for me right now. You do need coil overs though the stock ones are too big and will rub on aftermarket wheels.
