Twin Supercharger FRS
Hey guys, here's an intro video to my custom twin supercharger build that I did on my FRS.
I'll be adding a more detailed build video or videos here in the future. Jaden |

Can't wait for the rest to drop! How are you tuning it/going to tune it? (I know you may need other parts before the final tune based on the video).

Yeah, already had the part.
Quote:
A While ago I had bought a replacement fuel pump module but never installed it back in and wired the fuel pump back to it to verify that was actually the problem. Two days ago I went ahead and put it in and wired it up, verified that the fuel pump worked again going through the fuel pump module and soldered and shrink wrapped everything back up. I tested it and it's still running rich. I compared some logs and it appears that the percentage of ethanol is showing higher, (never had the logging parameters to show what the ECU was showing for ethanol content until Steve just sent them to me a couple of weeks ago), than the custom arduino that I programmed to convert the signal from the GM ethanol content sensor to voltage was showing. So at this point I'm trying to figure out where that problem lies, in the arduino programming or in the tune conversion. The arduino was showing about 4% less ethanol content than the logging was showing from the ECU. Which is really about a 20% discrepancy at lower ethanol percentages. 23% in the ECU versus 18-19% in the arduino. I'm pretty sure once I get that part fixed, it will run correctly. We'll see. I'll work through whatever I have to. I also have an ecutek that I can always use. I'm tuning with an tactrix openport to try to see what type of performance per dollar it's possible to get. As the car sits right now performance wise, I have about a total (aside from the cost of the car) of about $1500 invested. That includes the twin superchargers, the flex fuel, all tuning, perrin intake, full exhaust, etc. I have lowering springs, whiteline front adjustable camber bolts, rear LCAs (tire wear is crazy fast once you lower these cars without those). Jaden p.s. You can expect that cost to go up quite a bit more to get tires that will get me traction now...lol Last edited by Jaden; 02-18-2022 at 12:20 AM. |

Custom Ardruino... you are the man! I love programming/electronics and I love wrenching on cars but I've actually never crossed the two hobbies.
