Anybody removed the rear bumper cover yet ?
The taillights appear to bolt from the exterior. Unsure as to where there used to be clips then vs now...and cannot figure it out looking at diagrams.
Any help appreciated, Edit : the usual plastic plugs, fender pin and screws are all easy to figure out, but the bumper seems to be held strongly from somewhere else...hence my asking. edit See 4th post. Last edited by dsc_pat; 01-29-2022 at 12:40 PM. |

I have not removed the rear bumper cover. I was hoping you might have a similar "inspiring" diagram for the new front bumper cover, though, in case it differs from gen 1.

Front bumper cover
Never mind about the front bumper cover - it came off the same as the previous gen.

shoutout to Eddie Lepiz on FB who guided me.
You remove the 3 philips holding the tailights and the tailights slide towards the back of the car. The rest of the bumper removal is the same as 1st gen, ie pin where the bumper meets the quarter, many push pins, 2 philips by the trunk opening and everything else clips. I find that it clipped back on better than 1st gens. On m 1st gen, you could tell I hacked up the bumper many times. THis one I hope doesn't. |
