Oil pressure

Before I start up my new rebuilt engine i was trying to get oil pressure going but im not getting any oil pressure the oil filter is dry i might be thinking it wrong but i dont wanna burn my starter out so any suggestion it has about 7 qts of break in oil

How long did you crank it? Make certain you're cranking the car with the gas pedal held at 100%
You're definitely not going to burn out your starter that easily

Not very long my concern was the starter so should i just continue cranking?

Yeah the starter isn't going anywhere. Should only take 10-15 seconds of cranking to see some oil pressure.

Imma try and take the spark plugs out because ive been cranking for a minute still no pressure i had pressure when the engine was on stand while checking compression but had to remove oil to put in break in oil i have a oil cooler so refilling oil on stand will just have the oil coming out oil ports that connects to cooler

Just a update i had a air pocket in oil cooler so disconnected lines cranked til i see oil coming out ports then reconnected, cranked again now i have pressure
