What is this part on my bumper????

I'm trying to take the bumper off my 2015 Subaru BRZ and found this cover thing on it that is preventing me from taking it off (I don't want to go ape and rip it off destroying it). I searched on Subaru's parts and nothing is there and I've only seen this on some bumpers. I think it is the sensor for the headlights but I could be wrong.

How would I remove this (do I need to disconnect a cable or pull it off etc...)?

It's a headlight washer...not sure how it is removed. I would remove the wheel and pull the fender liner to get a look at it.

Headlight washer. If you get your fingernails under them you might be able to pull them out far enough to remove the fluid hose that attaches to the back of them. they are spring loaded - in there firmly, pull them straight towards you and don't twist them like you have done in your photo. might have to leave them until you remove the bumper to get your hand behind there to remove them before taking the bumper off completely.

these covers are known to fly away, probably when the washers are used at highway speed. I have disconnected mine for this reason - on the passenger side (RHD vehicle) you can remove the plastic cover on the bottom side of the front part of the bumper (the cover in front of the aluminium sump cover). you will see the bottom of the washer reservoir under the passenger side headlight. remove the cable to the pump on the very bottom on the washer bottle and tape up both ends to stop dust getting in there. the washer bottle has two motors - one for the windscreen (higher up) and one for the headlights (the lower one). the headlight washer only works when the headlights are on and the windscreen washer is activated.

No warning lights or anything following disconnection.
