Another "Getting my FR-S!" thread!

So, the good news is that I have my name on a car that will be arriving some time after the end of August (possibly the end of September ). I'll be so happy to have my Firestorm 6MT, after waiting since June.

However, I could use some help. I asked for any numbers associated with it (VIN, SON, etc.) and the salesperson was only able to give me 2 numbers:

Temp Serial # D131AD69
Serial # D1709022

can anyone tell me what this means? Does this give me a clue as to the status of the car, as in is it built, scheduled to be built, etc? Thanks guys. Now I just have to wait!

as for the numbers im not sure if u can track the production or not... i always thought u needed the vin fon that

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I placed my order July 5th for an Ultramarine 6MT. I just got the call yesterday that it should be arriving in the port of NY on Aug 9th and be available to me in Pgh, PA one week from then. The salesman told me the VIN numbers are assigned at the port so he didn't have one yet.

NY? Huh, thought they are unloaded on the West coast, guess its cheaper to take them around through the Canal or up north. Thanks for the info!

Me too! I was told mine was arriving in the states Aug 9 too but was never told where. I'm glad to hear that it's going to be in NY and not in California.

But on the plus side for you, its warming up and you are entering the prime driving season. Over on this hemisphere, ill be getting my car as its getting colder and I'll have to worry about the end of the prime driving season

When I called my dealership they told me that they had part of a VIN number (not sure what that means) and it would be arriving in NY straight from the manufacturer at the end of this month. I guess for East Coast deliveries they ship them to NY. Maybe it's cheaper to do that than ground transport...? I don't know. Either way I was just waaaay to excited to be getting my FR-S.
