Wierd Turbulance In RPM
For my build log look at my garage.
I am running turbo and FlexFuel Sensor If I run the same gas for an extended amout of time IE a week to two weeks i start to notice around 3200RPM it likes to rise and dip very quickly over and over. The turbulence is all over this data log https://datazap.me/u/dholloway543/lo...og=0&data=1-12 and extremely bad between 39sec and 42secs on this log https://datazap.me/u/dholloway543/lo...og=1&data=0-10 part of me believes it is learned knock because my engine bay temps get up to 110F sometimes but the intake air temp never go above 90F and my coolant and oil never go above 190F even on extremely hot days. Im just trying to figure out what is causing it to see if I can fix it. When it happens it is violent |

To me it looks like the perceived throttle position is inconsistent from what my foot is doing. Is that controlled by something in the tune? Why would that only happen after driving it for a week or so?

I'd say talk to your tuner.
If I had to guess, that might be where the fueling map turns over/becomes aggressive to address the torque dip on the FA20 |

too few values logged to make it a clear conclusion, at least for me
it looks anyway like a really bad tune, you have incredibly high level of knock despite the E81 and an advance multiplier of 0.2 that could also lead you to engage a different set of vvt cam timings that screw the turbo off But would need a look at the tune to know better Who did tune your car? it totally need to get fixed asap, if you have that amount of knock with E81 i would nt want to imagine the crazy amount of internal pressure your pistons are seeing |

This is the OFT Turbo tune for flex fuel. My engine is built so maybe the piston head changes the tune just slightly but enough to change the tune?

well that tune is pretty off in your car, you need a maf scaling and modification to your timing
Best would be an ecutek tune actually |

Incredible amounts of knock, and low iam. Sometimes when ignition advance low and AFR in 10 range If the car was running fine previously and just suddenlt started doing this its possibly .mechanical, ie parts of exhaust or header rattling on skid plate or chassis causing false knock, orfaulty or incorrectly instalked knock sensor.
If the car has never run well check tune |

The car runs good for approximately a week give or take on 91. Then this issue becomes noticeable. Its probably there the whole time but not noticeable. Then i switch to E85 and its good for about a week or so until it happens again. Until I switch back to 91. If I flash back on the 91 Turbo tune instead of the FlexFuel Turbo Tune the issue never comes up.
I do have a sub in my car but that shouldn't cause issues. Also I do notice that the FlexFuel tune has absolutely no low end torque. Getting it moving from a stop on an uphill is more about keeping the car running instead of actually getting it moving. Where as the 91TurboTune has plenty of get up and go Im seriously thinking about getting an ecutek tune. All of the oft service that I have been provided has been so slow and the tunes are sketchy on my car to say the least. 100% recommend oft for non-turbo but I guess getting a turbo i have to go ECUTEK. |
