245/45/17 tiresize and OEM suspension

Has anyone run 245/45/17 on OEM suspension? I am wondering if it will fit? If it did fit was your offset and did you have to use spacers?

45 is odd choice for this car, much larger diameter, fewer tire choices iirc, 245/40/17 matches OE tire diameter and has more options

Why 245/45? The closest diameter to stock (which keeps your speedo mostly accurate) would be a 245/40. I don't suggest you run the 245/45. With stock suspension, a 245/40/17 on my 17x8.5 +38 wheels fits nearly flush and never had any issues. I think you can get away with a tighter offset, but others can shed more light on the "tightest" fit. I doubt it works with stock offset, +48.

Looks like 245/40 works with stock. I'm wondering 245/45.
