Installing used MY 2017 tail lights on MY 2012 86 - New gasket needed?

I am installing a second hand pair of MY 2017 tail lights on my 2013 Toyota 86 GTS.

Even though they are used, the tail lights and especially the gaskets look in good condition.

Should I replace the original gaskets? ... Are gaskets more likely to leak after a second install?

Wondering if anyone else has done a similar update and had any issues?

I’m tempted to keep the original gaskets and maybe add some extra weather sealant.

But I am aware of the issues these cars have had with water in the lights.

I would get Ninja Gaskets, but it is expensive with the currency conversion to Australian dollars.

Thanks!

gaskets are pretty cheap. i'd replace them, if nothing else, just for my own piece of mind.

Installing used MY 2017 tail lights on MY 2012 86 - New gasket needed?

I got the helix tail light gaskets on eBay ($25 shipped IIRC) for my tails, they are significantly thicker and the adhesive on them is very tacky. I’d recommend them.
