Something odd with that plate. Looks like they put vinyl wrap over the blue parts to make it black. interesting...

That's actually how the yellow on black legacy plates are. Mine warps a bit too when the screws are tightened (not even over-tightened).

It's mostly because of the paint used, it "warps" when you bolt the plate down.

But I did see a Tesla the other day that had license plate "Z M" with whatever letters he put in between blacked out by vinyl tape.
