The Stock Engine Thread
Hi all,
I'm wondering if it's possible for all the FI owners to chime in with their experience/results so far on the stock engine. Yes, yes, it's well-known by now that under 300whp on pump is somewhat safe and low-to-mid 300's is possible for ethanol etc. But, it would be nice to have a compilation of individual experiences. Please kindly answer the following questions if you are on the stock block. Thank you. How many miles since FI setup: Type/Brand of FI (supercharged or turbo): Torque and WHP: Fuel Type: Vehicle Use: Example: 90%-5%-5% [That is, 90% daily, 5% autocross, 5% track days] |

How many miles since FI setup: ~12k
Type/Brand of FI (supercharged or turbo): JDL V2 no-cut, GTX2860R Gen2, Recirc, oil cooler, AOS, hood louvers. Torque and WHP: No idea. I do know that I am neck and neck with my brothers 2018 S4. What would be the main factors? E85, oil cooler and a good tune I'm guessing? What more can be done to make sure the engine lasts..

I think he should probably clarify what map he is using on the track. Most people run more aggressive maps on the street and more conservative maps on the track for multiple reasons including things like longevity. I wouldn’t assume his peak numbers are what he is using or sustaining through his events.

I use a variety of calibrations on track, depending on the nature of the event I am at, but the full power map is frequently used, in temps as high as 115F ambient. |
