Shark Fin???

So I got a 2016 BRZ in silver. I was going to buy a black vortex generator but I was trying to see if they had covers for the shark fin and honestly I can’t find one anywhere. Is my only option to wrap the shark fin? I feel like that would be a waste when I could simply buy a black cover if they had those. And honestly I don’t even use the radio. If anyone can help me out it’d be great. Or any alternative and cost effective ideas.

as in for a shark fin/antenna delete? I've looked into this too and I have yet to find any true aftermarket cover or panel designed for this there is a thread on these forums where some folks used some sealant and plastic to cover it but to me it looks a bit janky..but with a vortex generator think it would be an even better candidate to fit in a plastic cutout over the hole and seal it, just gotta make sure it is all sealed properly ^^

Well I’m not actually trying to do a delete I just want to get the shark fin matchyy matchyy with the vortex generator. I think a silver shark fin in the center of a black vortex generator might look silly. I just want to change the color of it.

Pretty sure you need to pull down your rear headliner to access the bolt that's holding it on. Reinstallation is just using the 3m tape provided, as the aftermarket fin isn't bolt-on.

That sucks honestly. You’d think they’d just sell a cover that goes right over it. Or even have the vortex generators cover up the antenna that way it’s a solid color all the way through. But they have the silly cut out.

The TS came with a black shark fin, you could buy that part or find a wrecked black brz and pull the fin off.

Cheapest option would probably be wrapping it...or rattle can

The oem shark fins come pre-painted. If you overtighten the bolt you will dent your aluminum roof.

Edit: they are $120, but also that vortex generator is most likely adding drag to your setup. You could consider selling that and keep your current shark fin.

Your best option would be to paint the vortex generator silver. A paint shop can do that easily. Check an example here on a blue WRX:

I would say that it looks like factory.

Drag like weight? And it’s not going to matter when I boost it.

No, not weight. Drag in terms of aerodynamics.

Yeah I know that but I wanted to offset the color and do a black one and change the fin black but it seems like all the options are complicated.
