*Help* weird problem with my head unit.

I have a 2014 BRZ premium with the stock navigation I recently was using the USB port to charge my phone while having it connected to listen to music via Bluetooth and my head unit reset itself and I had to go through the whole set up configuration. The head unit worked fine for the rest of the day. The next day I. Get up for work and start my car. My head unit doesn't turn on at all. I start pushing buttons. Still nothing. Confused I go back in my house to let my car warm up. I come back out and my radio is back on. Now my radio won't come in when the car starts but it will after the car has been running and Everytime it starts to work I have to go though the set up again. I checked the radio fuse and it's still good. I also took out the head unit and didn't notice Anything out of the ordinary. If anyone has a potential fix. Help would be much appreciated, Thanks

Update:

Im doing some doignostics myself since my radio has turned on now I did something to try and pin point the problem and it seems like something is not holding a charge. I turned my car off and turned it right back on twice in a row and the head unit started up like normal. I then turned the car off and let it sit for literally like only 20 seconds started it back up and this time the head unit didn't start right up but it did about 30 seconds later. Idk wtf is going on.

This normally happens when power is cut to the radio. For example, if you disconnect your battery, or if your battery dies, etc.

Have you had to jump your car? Are your battery terminals tight? Loose wires behind the radio?

This happened to me two days ago with my '17 Starlink head unit.

Left phone connected via USB and briefly shut off car to run inside. 2 minutes later, I start the car and the HU wouldn't turn on. Tried cycling the power a few times w/o my phone plugged in, but still no power to the HU.

Feeling defeated, I drove to my destination exclusively listening to the Corsa exhaust instead of my OEM Audio Plus system . Had to reverse park without my backup camera which was a throwback to my FR-S days -- I rely too much on the camera these days.

Let the car sit for 30+ minutes and when I went to start the car, the HU turned on again with no loss of settings.

This has happened one other time in the past and I wrote it off as a fluke / glitch.

I wonder if the phone connected via USB is draining a capacitor in the HU causing it to not turn on?
