17x9 ET35 with 255/40R17 for track and time attack
For next season thinking of getting a bit more tire than stock. After reading and looking at various fitment guides thinking the following:
17x9 ET35 some lightweight rim (think RPF1 or alike) 255/40R17 track-worthy tire (think R888R or alike) Dampers and springs are stock but I will be running camber plates in the front. So will get between 2.5 and 3.5 degrees negative camber in the front. The rear is stock with around 1.0 degree negative camber. Questions: - Will I get poke in the front? - Will 255 sit fine on a 9-inch rim during prolonged track beating? |

wont have any issues, many of us run similar specs on the camber, wheels and tires.

Sounds like a great set up. The R888R is good choice in my opinion!

You'll need coil overs. You wont clear the front springs. I'm -2.5 camber. 255/40/17 Federal RS-RR on a 17x9 et 37 and still in contact with springs, et35 wouldnt be enough. Get a set of CSG Spec Tein Flex A's, you'll have a great custom tuned coilover for a reasonable $. 255/40 sits nice on the 9" wheel. I havent tracked them yet as I'm waiting on coilovers as well. |
