Hi, i just finished read almost all the forum, a lot of different opinions, we are building a FRS with 2jz 6870gen2 so, the car will have near 1000hp some day, the car will be a daily-drag-circuit drive off course! so we are looking real options and prices about:
motec vs emtron? suppliers? we are not lucky getting response from some.. rear end swap kit: we look the 8.8 conversion kit (diff, axles, driveshaft) but we are curious if the "new" super 8.8 for mustang ecoboost +2015 will handle the power with some upgrades?

Pretty sure a JZA80 rear would be easier and cheaper to source and more than capable of putting down that power.

Lol.
Your better off with a V8 tube chassis kit car with a fiberglass frs shell. But really if you want over 300hp just buy a better car.

At that power level it seems like a SRA would be advisable for drag tracing, but IRS would be better for the track, even if you will never use 1000hp around a track, so maybe just stick to dragging the car because a less powerful and lighter 86 would probably be faster. Do a Ford SRA conversion. Probably the cheapest with the most options for big, reliable power.
