Subaru Brz speakers.
Do u guys know what brand speakers are in the brz. i have heard the speaker in the car are from lexus cars. Either way i am planning on upgrading the speakers and adding a power sub to add more sound in the system. I need to know what the speaker sizes are, tried looking online and had difficulty in finding any. If u guys could open up the housing and provide some information on the speaker sizes, that would be helpful. Planning on replacing the rear speakers and dash speakers with infinity reference 3032cf and get sound ordnance powered sub to fit under the seat. That brings me to another question. How much space is there in under the drivers seat? just wondering if the powered sub would fit under the seats. If the space is similar to wrx then it should be fine.

OE speakers are shit, once you take it out and compare to aftermarket you will see the different. Dash speakers are 1" tweeter and 4" mid with mounting depth just little under 1 1/2". But all aftermarket 4" are two ways speaker instead of just mid. And you will need to find a speaker as shallow as possible. Also will need to grind the dash to make a bigger opening and different hardware for aftermarket speaker. If you plan to have high end speaker then will probably won't fit and the grill won't close. At first I thought would be easy job and I got Clarion base series speaker with mounting depth at 1 11/16", after I grind the opening bigger to fit the speaker. The magnet of the speaker is sitting on the vent tube and raised the speaker. I manage to make it fit but the tweeter of the speaker is touching the grill once I close te grill. Luckily the grill still close tight.
Rear are 3.5" with lots of opening, you can fit any 3.5" speaker on the stock bracket with no problem. But since it is just a fill speaker so high end speaker is not going to make a huge different. For the door I will have to open it and mesure it myself. Since it is pushing bass with stock amp. And mounting depth is also a problem. But I don't have the time. You can always raise the driver seat up to put the sub in. But I don't like the idea of the sub under my ass. Seating position is also need to be consider. Go with traditional way, put a sub in the trunk.

^ thanks for the info. I dont want to compromise trunk space. I am going to use this car as my daily driver so i am going with a powered sub under the seat. I am also planning on replacing the dash speakers and the rear speakers with infinity reference speakers because. this system must be decent atleast
