Where to position front license plate bracket?

I’m getting my personalized plate soon, I’m thinking about mounting the front bracket that came with one of the aftermarket company I purchased my mods from. Do people usually position it on the driver or passenger side or even dead center of front bumper?

Are you drilling it into the front bumper like they would from the dealership? This would usually be centered. Otherwise a lot of people (most?) using a front plate use a relocate kit, such as the one from Grimmspeed, to avoid drilling the bumper by mounting it on the tow hook (which will put it on the passenger side). Don't think I've seen anyone with a bumper-mounted plate off-center.

Personal preference. Either the center or passenger side (as that is where the tow hook is). I personally prefer to not drill into the bumper.

I made a mount with some stainless bolts/washers/nuts and strips of metal, then a plastic universal mount from Canadian Tire. The bolt goes through the holes in the grille and is stopped from pulling right through by big washers. I went this route because it keeps the plate where I want it, no holes in the bumper, and when I remove the plate it doesn't block airflow to the oil cooler.
