Wheel Recommendations?
Car: 2013 Subaru BRZ at stock height, stock body. Keep in mind I don't plan on lowering it!
What model and make of wheel would you guys recommend if I wanted to run 18x8.5 in the front and 18x9.5/10 in the back? Basically I just want wide back wheels haha. I tried looking into Cosmis MRII which are very nice AND have the sizes I want, but their 18x8.5 are the only ones available in 5x100. Let me know what you guys would recommend and thank you in advance! |

Just that many like in this car it's handling. And of course it's dissapointing to see for someone willingly pay money to fsck it up. Well, if you never driven one, you'll probably won't know what you'll miss, and may think that it's understeering pig out of factory

Most people agree that 18s on stock height look worse than 17s, myself included. The lower profile tire required by the taller wheel seems to accentuate the wheelwell gap.

I'm actually tossing around the idea of staggered setup myself. TRDs 18's are staggered by one size, and I was considering the same (245s in front, 255s in back). Lots of Rays wheels come in 18x8.5 and 9.5, so there's a place to start looking.
FYI, I recently watched a video on youtube where they tested staggered and squared setups and the BMW they were testing on didn't become an "understeering pig" until it was something like 225s in front and 285s in back. Smaller changes (it was staggered from factory, but they tested going to a square setup, 225/255, 225/225, 255/255, etc) did effect laptimes very slightly (like fractions of a second per lap) but would be fine on street. Aipex8: twins with stock alignment already are more on understeerish side. Why make it even worse then that?

Have you considered offsets at all?
With a 18x9.5 or 18x10 you're likely going to get a lot of poke in the rear regardless of what your offset is. Just know that with those wide "back" wheels and tires your car is going to feel substantially slower.

XXR 527F 18x9 & 18X10 Forged wheels are WIDE, look amazing IMO, and are a decent price for forged wheels.
Or get a square setup either size will work with the correct accompanying suspension parts. ( you said $$$ was not an issue)

Cuz it will be a problem on some of wheel setup. Stay stock size and enjoy a tail happy car, plus tires are cheaper and lighter. For DD you do not need more grip.
