2qt Accusump, -10 AN line, fittings, bracket, remote operating cable

Are you fast? Like, sustained 1.7g in a long sweeper fast? Massive aero and Hoosiers fast? Concerned about uncovering the pickup and losing oil pressure while bending physics in the twisties fast? Then have i got a deal for you!

I am not that fast. I am maxxis rc1, drives HPDEs for fun and still has a deskjob fast. But I like tinkering on the car for a hobby as much as I like driving, and thus pieced together this accusump setup. I drew up, cut bent and welded the bracket you see here. Its not art quality metal fab, its totally functional spirit of original racecar guy quality. Someday I might be fast enough to need this, but not today Selling it to pick up other fun car parts to tinker with...probably pick up an Aim solo2 dl if they ever come out...collect data...use it to get faster.

Asking $200 shipped UPS in the USA. The accusump is 100 %functional, clean and leak free. The bracket is rattle can black and could use a touch up. This includes all the hardware and fittings you need to hook it up. Route the actuation cable into the cab, mount as you'd like, and dazzle passengers at your next HPDE who'll ask what it does. I usually answerd "james bond smoke screen" I put up pictures of it installed with the A.C. compressor in place as well - it totally fits!

Any questions, requests for more pics etc, pm or Email me.

Thanks!
Joe V

I'd also be interested in trades possibly. For a light weight exhaust system (stainless) or an aluminum 1 piece driveshaft. Or IRP shifter in good shape.

Just curious, what sort of oil pressures are you getting with this setup?

So the way the system works is that the accumulator is plumbed into the oil gallery, and is open to the same oil pressure the pump is producing, full time. There is an adjustable air spring on one side of the piston, and engine oil on the other.

This means that there's an additional 2 qts (ish) under the last pressure that the pump put out, waiting to discharge, sitting in the accumulator.

If your oil pressure drops below the compressed air spring pressure, it automatically pushes the oil it has under pressure into the oil gallery. So if you uncover the pickup in the pan, as oil pressure drops from the pump - the accusump makes up the oil pressure to the mains. So that hopefully by the time it's fully discharged, you're out of the high g corner and the pickup is covered again.

Doesn't really add pressure in addition to the pump, but keeps you from running out of oil pressure for a while.
