What do you think?

I'm not really in to chrome and since I'm doing a ceramic coat on my headers and other exhaust parts should I do same on the muffler. I need input, should I?

here is what it looks now

I was thinking doing it like this

i think both ways look good! however, if polished isn't your thing, then absolutely make it stealthy.

I prefer the low-profile all black, myself. I heard it's more cop-friendly too, since it doesn't stand out.

Chrome looks good in a few places. IMO at least.

The exhaust is one of those places I find it looks good.

Wheels are not.

Chrome has no place on exhaust components!

You guys are talking about polished stainless steel. Can look awesome on headers/turbo manis if it's good stainless (321) and heat cycles to the rainbow-look (and is oil free before it's heated). Low-grade stainless will pit and have oxidation (rust) under high-heat conditions.

Forget the exhaust....can I have that bumper cover?

On topic though, I'd keep it the way it is, but thats my taste. If you have an itch to try something different, go for it!

In my opinion, I'd keep it polished stainless. To me, the flat black ceramic coating just makes it look dirty and half-assed. Like someone decided to paint it, but gave up after giving it a coat of primer.

i haven't seen any chrome in this thread..

Polished > chrome

chrome has a different finish over polished. Just because both surfaces are reflective doesn't mean they are the same.

Plus clear reflective surfaces like polished aluminum or chrome help bring out vibrancy and complexity of certain colors. I don't hate chrome, i hate it when its used inappropriately or with ill taste for aesthetics. Like when used to contrast colors...thats a no no.

If you want to keep your car clean, with a bright feel to it then keep your exhaust muffler and tip unpainted. If you want to have a dark and dirty feel to it..then paint it satin black. Notice i said satin black and not flat black because they are two different finishes.
