Opticoat is just an excuse to not take care of your car. Just wash/wax regularly you'll be better off.

Some of us park outside and washing regularly is difficult. Opticoat would help us out.

It appears as though no one around the Chicago area is doing it, however I'm sure if enough of us got together we could convince a detailer to do it.

What I meant was that opticoat isn't worth the money. Everything I've heard from people who actually have it is that it's not very good and makes the paint look bad.

I got a guy that did my opti coat 2.0. Looks good. If a detailer can do the full prep then applying the opti coat should be fairly easy for them. This guy has a shop in northwest indiana. Dont know where your at but hes fairly priced. Pm me if you want his info. Hes fairly priced way way cheaper then anyone i found. Cheapest i found was 700

Just remember while looking for the best guy to work on your car make sure your paint is at least protected with something.

I wouldnt pay that much. I paid near half for mine, and my guy doesnt just rush threw. He worked on my paint for 7 hours. Then applied the opti. I had a couple bad flaws in my paint from factory. Very happy with the service and outcome.

I'm quite impressed with Lui's work at Automobile Day Spa. The car turned out great and the price was extremely reasonable! he's done two FR-S's so far and we both had good experiences. I would recommend him for Opti-coat!
