Exclamation Low idle/dip and stall/loss of power

A little background on the car first:
Engine is bone stock, no tune either 70k mi
I drive mostly highway miles, regular maintenance
CEL for EVAP system

The car has been idling extremely low (around 5-600) and will dip often and stall im also experiencing an obvious dip in power and sometimes when i go to start the car i will have to leave the key turned forward for about 3 seconds before i get any ignition. Are these all related?

Does your car have an AT .. ?? If so, there is a TSB that deals with idle issues.

Is the CEL still present .. ?? If so, what is the code .. ??

Do you have the original battery .. ?? If so, it may be weak. I'd suggest you check it :

http://www.aa1car.com/library/battery_runs_down.htm

.....and maybe have it "load tested" at a battery shop.

You may try re-booting the ECU (disconnect the battery ..... then hook it back up .... ).

Are all those symptoms related ... ?? Hell, I don't know ...... I ain't no mechanic ..... not anymore .....

I had this problem twice after the regular maintenance.
My guestimate is that way too much throttle body cleaner spray was used during maintennance.
It cleared itself after about 50km of driving.
For some reason i assume that when a perfectly running car is taken in for regular scheduled maintenance , it should come out still running perfectly after the "skilled apprentice technician" has bestowed their expertise.

All of those symptoms including the EVAP CEL could be the result of a vacuum leak. They can be a bitch to find though.

The "skilled technician" has a solution for too much spray.
Disconnect and reconnect the battery , so the car goes to relearn fuel trim and is in veg state for the next 200kms , by then the excess spray is gone and the idle is back to normal.
