Good Day,

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I tried searching the forum but had no luck ... I blame it on my tablet

I was curious how easy it is to install a reverse camera ? ... I see they are really cheap on ebay and I know it would make my wife's life a lot easier as she parks in town where it is pretty crowded.

Ok just tried my above mentioned combination and it didnt work. Really going to need a pin out or wiring diagram for bmw reverse parking camera if anyone can help?

Is your camera 6volt or 12volt? Stock head unit only supplies 6volts, you may need a solenoid/relay. You must power the camera from the head unit- it will supply power at start for a couple seconds and look for video signals to enable the display. Once this happens it will turn the camera off and then use the reverse signal to control the camera and display. If the camera output is not present at head unit startup it will not work

I got the one from Amazon for $150. It came with the wiring harness and Camera for a 2014 BRZ. It was super simple to install (did require drilling a hole in the trunk though). Works flawless.

Takes about 1-2hrs to run all the wiring and make it look clean. I cut the white cord on the camera so I didn't have double lines on the camera view. You can also go into the headunit calibration screens and move the lines manually there so they line up. Again, all easy to do.
