track newbie

Hello everyone. I just bought a new BRZ and I love it. I want to start tracking the car. I live in the Los Angeles area. Does anyone recommend any tracks? How do I get started? How much would an average track day cost me? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

LA has several tracks close by (Willow Springs, Buttonwillow, Autoclub Speedway, Chuckwalla). Depending on the track prices vary anywhere from $150-300 for some tracks. You should check out 86cup and join us on a track day. As for organizations I'm not as familiar with SoCal groups but I know there's SpeedVentures & Hooked on Driving. Motorsportreg is a good site to look at upcoming events as well.
