Question Thoughts about potential winter setup

So I'm not really expecting snow this winter in Portland, but I do have brand new Primacys on my stock 17x7 wheels that I don't really want to throw away. The tires on my 17x8 probably do need replacing, so I was thinking about putting a set of Conti DWS on the stock wheels, and then putting the 215 Primacys on the 17x8 Enkeis and running that until they wear down and then I'll get proper 225s or something as replacements...

Thoughts?

Dude, it's already snowing at Timberline...
I'm expecting there's definitely gonna be snow here this winter.

Yeah, that's what the Forester and the Conti WinterContact tires are for...

So put the stock twin wheels and winter tires on the forester.

The 215s will be stretched on your other wheels but if you don't want to invest in the right tires it will technically work. Stance people run worse stretch all the time.

I've never stretched before so I'm new to all of that. I just hate wasting a perfectly fine set of tires. Maybe I just put the conti dws on the rpf1s instead. Probably not gonna track it, if anything I'll ax and track the primacys since I'm not competing for points anyway. Thanks for the input.
