Can any angle experts help me reverse out of an incline?
UPDATE: SOLVED IT
![]() Our driveway has two minor incline levels. When I get home, I can easily go up at an angle without any chin or under scrape, but when headed for work, backing out at an angle always makes me lift a rear wheel first followed by a bottom scrape. Any gurus can help? My hunch is that maybe I can only exit the same way I entered? Or is there a better way because I really prefer facing opposite where I entered when leaving the house. ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Last edited by leevanf; 09-05-2017 at 09:48 PM. |

Can you get away with putting down a 2x4 at the foot of your first incline? A friend with a lowered one has one in front of his driveway.
Nice diagrams!

Are you sure you're scraping? Whenever a rear wheel leaves the ground the VDC activates and it sounds like a scrape lol

Your best bet is paying to have the entrance leveled a bit and some concrete poured sadly. Other than that try a couple boards.

Can't help with the driveway even if I do consider myself a bit of an angling expert.

I have the same issue with my driveway. I keep the BRZ in the garage but my driveway entry is a little steep where it meets the street. The rest is perfectly fine. Even at stock ride height, if I went in straight the lip would scrape. Luckily my house is on a corner so I can approach the drive from the side and roll on up if I keep it under 6mph.
This approach also works since I put the RCE springs on this weekend.

Have you tried backing into the driveway and then leaving by going forward.
I read you solved it, but I can't see your pics from my work computer |
