Reverse camera that does not require drilling.

Hi guys,

New Aussie owner of a 2012 86 GTS. Looking to install a reverse camera since i don't have one, however i would like one that is PnP and does not need drilling.

Also, if i am able to use the OEM head unit as a monitor, that is a great plus. I am still a little unsure of a few things even after looking at a few threads.

This thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1232598

Looks like it had a perfect unit, but its a bit old and the eBay listing has expired.

If anyone has one they can recommend, that would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

You might be able to use a license plate frame type of camera, and just have to figure out how to get the cable from the camera into the trunk. It was easy in my Yaris since the license plate light had a gap between in and the bumper (12-dollar camera). The FR-S, I don't believe has a gap, so you may need to create notch some how.

Another option would be a "wireless" system like this: https://quickvucams.com/

I have no experience with the wireless systems, but I suppose you can always mount the screen somewhere and run the power cable to the hidden 12v behind the glove box if you're not using it already.
