Audio Steering wheel controls (kinda)

I didn't know whether to make a thread about this or not as most of you know about these but I'm hoping this could help someone who wants steering wheel controls on their wheel.

When I bought the car, I was annoyed by the fact that it didn't have audio controls on the steering wheel. Yea I know some people like having a clean steering wheel but when it's a daily driver, it's nice to have controls for the headunit rather than trying to change music through the stereo (mine doesn't have actual buttons forcing me to look at the headunit and taking my eyes off the road.. I know it's for a second but that 1 second can be fatal)

So I searched for a solution and found this:



It costs 10 bucks on eBay, it's called a "wireless Bluetooth media remote" there are different ones but this one works great for me.

It does go to sleep every 10 minutes but to wake it up, you just press any button once then press whatever button you initially wanted to press.

It comes with a steering wheel ring thing that holds the device to your steering wheel and it comes with 3m double sided tape so you can just stick it onto your steering wheel if you want like I did. If it ever bothers you, you can take it off.

Only downside is, It connects to your phone rather than the headunit.

I might be getting an andriod headunit soon so that might connect to the unit itself (it worked great on my nexus 7)
