Push start doesn't ignite? Had to try many times

Sorry if I missed that it has been discussed here.

These couple months I experienced that my push start button has been acting odd.

I pushed the start button and it just didn't ignite. It did not sound like it was a battery problem as it didn't sound like the car was trying to ignite but failed.

So I had to get out of the car, locked, returned to the car, and retried to push. It seemed to work that way.

Confused. TIA.

The fob battery could be on its last legs as this can throw all sorts of issues.

Next time hold the fob next to the push button start, if it fires up, replace the fob battery.

If the push start does ignite you may have problems.

look at the key symbol on dash if flashing yellow key fob battery is low or signal low
if its red then its not reading key code at all

also wiggle steering wheel to release electric steering lok pin sometimes it sticks

to start with flat fob battery , hold fob next to start button for 10 sec then press start with key fob next to start button
