Due to living on a hill and a f*cked up driveway angle I scrape my front bumper on a daily basis. Finally thinking about maybe doing something, but I'm not sure. My first thought was a CS style lip, but given that it will scrape every day I'm afraid it would end up in my driveway and/or just look sh*tty. Looking at pictures of the Protekt skidplates it looks like where they're mounted is a little far back to do me much good.

So...would a lip just get torn off/would Protekt do any good?

Irrespective it can still be raised by coils and/or tyre aspect ratio.

Oops, yeah I should have mentioned...it's not lowered and has stock wheels/suspension. The driveway itself is in decent shape, I think it's that the hill is at a fairly steep angle so the driveway itself isn't anywhere near level...no matter how you enter, something will scrape

Try again but with angle, your driveway is flat and i dont see the problem.

Lol obviously there is a problem, didn't you see the picture of under his bumper? He's not scraping the due to improper angle of entry.

his photo is not doing justice, and may look "flat" to you but there must be some incline...

OP, my 2 cents. (like you said) the Protekt's mount too far back to prevent the issue your having.

Id get a cheep lip or splitter/diffuser and see how cheese grated it gets, if it holds up you could get something more substantial.

You're going to scrape with any low car on that driveway. You need driveway ramps.

Two suggestions:

1) Mask off the front facing portions of the bumper and rhino-line or similar the under side.
2) Run a slightly larger tire. I personally run 235/45R17's and the added height does wonders. Plus it fills up the wheel wells nicely if you dont plan to lower the car. Speedo/gear ratio will change a bit so just keep that in mind.

I may wind up doing that...if it gets torn off I'd only be out ~$60 or $70 or whatever.

Those I like...that would probably let me run a lip that might normally get chewed up or torn off. As long as nobody walked off with them...gonna check those out.

I just bought new tires a month ago...don't think that will fly with my wife, but maybe next time. Wouldn't mind filling it out a bit
