MRT axle back for 2017+ cars

FYI for 2017 owners. I've been searching around for a company that makes a 2017 compatible axle back with no luck for a while.

One of the companies local to me (MRT in Plymouth MI) agreed to trial a single and dual tip axle back for the 2017's. MRt has done custom exhaust and paint work on a couple of my cars that I was very happy with, so decided to go ahead with this.

Unlike the other companies (I had a berk dual which did not fit at all on my 2017), their axle back is actually compatible with the 2017's as well so finally an option for the 17+ owners! The design is basically very similar to the berk except MRT uses all 4 of the hangers, which I like a lot. They also offer a really cool mat black tip version as well actually for those that prefer the stealth look.

Trialing the single tip on my 860:

Dual tip on the lift:

Dual tip from eye level:

The other nice thing is that their axle back is compatible with your stock gasket, so no need to change it out. Literally just unbolt your muffler and bolt this one in place.

Sound wise the single tip is very mild actually. The dual tip is quite a bit louder and has some pops here and there when driven aggressively which I'm a big fan of. Overall for <$300 no complaints! They took a couple videos of my car so those should be going up soon on their site I was told. 'm not associated with the company, but wanted to share since this is the first true muffler delete axle back I've found for the 17's for those that like these. Plus their single tip is a great economical option.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. I'll be picking one up.

I know you don't work for MRT, but do you happen to know the weight difference between the single exit and the dual exit muffler delete?

Sadly I didnt pick up the single pipe, but I would say ~5 pounds between the two. The entire driver side is common between the two; its the added piping to the passenger side and tip that accounts for the extra weight.

Ya no photobucket hosted images are showing up. The are requiring users to pay $399 a year to enable this feature.

everyone needs to jump ship on photobucket and use something else like the Imgur app to host pics.

Don't worry about it man! honestly the photobucket problem started happening about a week or two ago.

The axelback look good. Also your 2017 wing looks really good with the risers and ends blacked out!! I was considering getting rid of mine, but after seeing yours I might try wrapping it or painting it black first.

Do you know if they have a site where these are offered? You should try and get them on here.

I'd like to see closeups of any bends, welds, and off the car, if at all possible!

It sounds just like literally every other dual exit muffler delete axle back out there. No difference in exhaust note between the 860 and my 2.0 which has the same setup.
