Muffler Delete
So I have a 2013 FRS with invidia exhaust. I just got the car so I don't know specifically what model Invidia it is but I'm thinking it is invidia N1 ss.
I will try to include photos later. How would a muffler delete work with that one? and it should have no problems passing smog right? Last edited by Emilio246; 05-30-2017 at 06:28 PM. |

You have no clue what a resonator even does- why do you want to delete it?
In this day and age, ignorance is a personal choice. |

I know it only has to do with sound and the waves the engine produces. My question is do smog places have a requirement for having that on the car. maybe if you provided a helpful response there would be one less ignorant person on this subject. Thanks though. |

The Invidia exhaust on your car is aftermarket and costly partially because of the muffler that was chosen for it (also materials and craftsmanship.) For that reason, cutting the muffler out doesn't really make a lot of sense. I'm assuming you want to delete your muffler because you want a louder or deeper tone from the exhaust right? If that's the case, you'd be better off buying selling your Invidia exhaust used for $400-$800 (or more) and then buying or building an exhaust to your taste for less than that. This diagram is posted often because it's helpful. |

Just an FYI it is technically illegal to not have a muffler in Ca. Just a heads up in case you get an asshole cop.
