Weird OFT error during 1st use

So I've searched the forums, and haven't found this exact error yet...

I was marrying the OFT I bought from FT986SpeedFactory, and after reading my ECU, it saves it, then says "Preparing Tuning Files", then after a few seconds, I get what I assume to be an error window that's imposed over the "Preparing Tuning Files" window. It just says "4014ZA1JB00C" with a unlabeled button under it.

I tried waiting and it just stays there, and I've pushed the button. When I push it a new window appears that just says "6014" with a couple progress bars under it.

After that finishes, I get a window that just says "6007", with another unlabeled button. I push it and I get the page that has the "Tuning" etc category icons, but they are no longer labeled, it's just the icons.

When I go into Tuning, the Read and Write icons are grayed out.

All the updates for the tablet were applied through the PC program, and I even unmarried it and tried it again. Then I thought that maybe my battery was weak so I drove the car around the block and still same results.

Is there a way to see if the previous owner put a different tune on the car or something, or am I just screwed? =(

Mine did the same thing I just unplug. Plug it back in restarted my car and never happened again? Was this on the 91 stage one tune? Cause mine was and I ended up loading the 93 tune today and put 93 fuel in. Acting kinda weird everything jumping around unlike the 91 tune maybe it's just take time to learn because of the new fuel? If it doesn't clear in a couple days il have to ask some questions too. Oh and when mine started flashing those codes my ac wouldn't even blow cold air! I think you updated it but probably didn't load the 91 stage tune for you vin! I had to do this because their are so many different model numbers!

Sounds kike the onboard tune file database is corrupted.

Marry up the tablet ie read in your stock tune.

Then go to diagnistics or ecu info and confirm your rom calid likely za1jb00c .

Then go to oft website download tunes abd load up correct tunes into tabket with openflash manager

Mine did this as well when reading the stock tune. Blank buttons, random numbers, etc. I guess it loaded the stock tune fine because after I connected up to OFM and loaded the updates the menus showed up as normal.

Maybe retry reading the stock tune, connecting to OFM, then loading your desired tune.

Sweet, thanks for the help! After I loaded the correct tunes on the manager it worked! I always thought it came preloaded with the tunes.

Their is limited space for the preloaded tune database so only the most popular ecu calibration ID's are in the preloaded tune database.
